Description: Turn Records commissioned this piece for the 2004 Dealership album Action/Adventure. They came to be with a basic concept and this is what I came up with. They wanted artwork that had an organic video game feel so I updated an old school space invader and put together a composition that embodied the basic two-player game. This piece pushes a style I like to work in which contrasts futuristic technology with more traditional painting techniques. I really enjoy working with divergent ideas and molding them into a presentation that coalesces these opposing concepts both viscerally and cerebrally.
